Can I sign my document before you arrive?
The notary must watch you sign. A document signed before we arrive will need to be re-printed and signed in front of us, so leave every signature line blank until we are all together.
What ID does each signer need?
A current driver's license, passport, or military ID works. If an ID is expired or missing, say so when you book. Virginia has rules for that situation and it is far better to solve it before the visit than during it.
Do I need every page of the document?
Every page, not just the signature page. Virginia does not allow a notary to stamp an incomplete document, and we check yours page by page so it gets accepted the first time you file it.
